Machos Vision Makes Every Pole A Winning One In Taking $75,000 Slide Show Stakes For 2-YO Fillies at Remington Park

OKLAHOMA CITY - November 16, 2019 – Machos Vision and jockey Lori Keith went to the lead in the one-mile$75,000 Slide Show Stakes on Friday night at Remington Park, and never looked back.

The 2-year-old filly by Pollard’s Vision, out of the Macho Uno mare Machorina, stopped the timer for one mile with the following fractions, :24.48 for a quarter-mile; :49.05 for the half-mile; 1:14.67 seconds for three quarters of a mile; and 1:28.12 for seven furlongs. The winning time was 1:42.61 over the fast track.

Keith did a great job of holding the filly together down the stretch as the young horse was trying to get out to the middle of the track, coming to the wire. Machos Vision was able to hold on for a 2-3/4 lengths victory. Machos Vision, trained by Michael Biehler and owned by MBG and Biehler of Jones, Okla., was bred by the owners.

“We’re thrilled,” Keith said of winning for her trainer-husband.

“We bred this filly and trained her mother, Machorina,” said Biehler. “She’s a nice filly. We’re very proud of her.”

Machos Vision, at 3-1 odds, paid $8.80 to win, $4.60 to place and $3.20 to show. She earned $45,000 for the win and improved her record to three starts, two wins, for a bankroll of $70,057.

It was the first win in this race for all the connections. A likely landing spot for this filly would be the $100,000 Trapeze Stakes on the final day of the season, Sunday, Dec. 15.

Diamonds N Spurs ran second in the Slide Show, a head in front of third-place finisher Zapit, the 9-5 betting favorite. Zapit had just won the $100,000 Oklahoma Classics Lassie in her previous start.

The Slide Show, for Oklahoma-bred 2-year-old fillies, is named in honor of the Oklahoma-bred filly who was near perfect in her career at Remington Park, winning 11 consecutive starts from 1993 to 1995, eight of them stakes events. Her only local defeat came in her final start, when she was third in an allowance event.

Tracked by more than 160,000 fans on Facebook and more than 10,000 Twitter followers, Remington Park has provided more than $234 Million to the State of Oklahoma general education fund since the opening of the casino in 2005. Located at the junction of Interstates 35 & 44, in the heart of the Oklahoma City Adventure District, Remington Park is the home of the $400,000 Springboard Mile, the richest 2-year-old stakes of the season, on Sunday, Dec. 15. The Springboard Mile is a points race to determine qualifiers for the 2020 Kentucky Derby. For more information, reservations and group bookings please call 405-424-1000, 866-456-9880 or visit
